The Death of My JVC CD Player
No need to put on mourning garb as the JVC CD player has brought out into the world better offspring. You may already own a DVD player or even a Blu-Ray player, as I do, and I am sure you will agree that they fare far better. And I would be willing to bet that you will not be able to purchase a brand new JVC CD player straight from the stores today.
Do Not Throw Them Out Just Yet!
The CDs I mean. Got your self into collecting the CDs that were played by your old JVC CD player? Neither will you have to throw out the giant pile of your CD collection nor will you have to bust out the check book to purchase the same content in different formats since the newer players have the so called backward compatibility technology. These DVD or Blu-Ray players are as capable in playing the lowly CD formatted discs as the older JVC CD players we had used to, actually they play even better.
Out with the Old, In with the New
The newer players come with nifty features that make giving up my old JVC CD player quite easy. The “dragonpick” feature enables my new player to play even those old scratched up CDs that I sentimentally value, try that with an old JVC CD player. The file formats the new ones can play range from MP3s, to WAVS, to WMAs, to JPEGs and to MPG-4s, versatility is such a virtue. And were the old JVC CD players capable of playing your movies almost instantaneously? The length of time from the moment you load the disc to having the first scene of the movie up on your screen is almost non existent with the newer players and impossible with an old JVC CD player.
